ABOUT THE BOOKS

Chasing a Whirlwind
Charles book shares stories about his early life and fascination with airplanes. His service in the Navy during the Korean War as an airplane mechanic prepared him for his civilian career as an aerospace engineer.
After learning to fly, he took his family on trips to experience many adventures. Charles learned to rely on God to show him his path in life. His wife’s diabetes was a challenge in his life and ultimately led to her death.
Frieda entered Charles’ life after his retirement from Lockheed. Together they formed their own aviation consulting company and spent 25 years working with the Air Force and private companies. He received four patents to improve flight characteristics and drag reduction in general aviation and military aircraft.
In retirement Charles wrote his life story which Frieda edited and turned into a book. He hopes the book will inspire others to look to God for the strength to reach their goals in life.

Born Three Times
The book Born Three Times by Frieda Dixon begins with the struggle of her early life, but the end of the book is about the life she shared with Charles Dixon. She was searching for Saint Superman, but Charles was close enough and like Superman, he did take her flying.
He was looking too and finally found who God had for him, so he made two proposals—one to Frieda for marriage and the other for an Air Force contract. He won both and along with Frieda started an aviation consulting company.
Charles was her support system through her liver transplant and helped her to begin a second chance at life. There were some difficult days but with God’s help, she regained her health and prospered.
The succeeding years working together in aviation were filled with challenges and opportunities for Frieda to learn how to manage a company. Her life was filled with travel for business and pleasure.
